Overseas Breeze

Texel salt, Earl Grey, and a long farewell.

In Highraven, the ravens keep what the world forgets.

From Texel came the Bramley, bitter and salt-bitten; from an unknown tree, an apple neither wholly sweet nor wholly sour. Oak held them, and through the wood walked a ghost of Earl Grey — dry, gold, and clean on the tongue, with a sour bite at the edge and a finish that would not release its hold. Full the apple, long the farewell. The breeze has passed; the glass is empty.
